In order to lead the FUSION project within the SME, it is essential that you, the graduate have strong business acumen and project management skills. To that end, a bespoke post graduate diploma has been developed in conjunction with the Smurfit Business School. This fully funded diploma would normally cost €10,000. Graduates study five modules and a work based project which are delivered over the course of 12-18 months. Modules include:

  • Business Strategy & Project Management
  • HRM
  • Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Operations Management
  • Management & Financial Accounting
  • Marketing & Sales Management
  • Work Based Project

These modules are designed to develop your commercial acumen and deliver real business benefit. On a practical level, the course design ensures that the time required to attend college is manageable for both you and the company you are employed by in a way that does not disrupt the working environment.

As a student registered with UCD, you will receive a student card.  This enables you to access the library, including the online library, where selected articles can be viewed online, off campus.  The student card also allows you to avail of discounts at a range of stores.

Each year, the Mary Breslin award is presented to the graduate who has achieved the highest score in the Diploma. This award includes a £2,000 scholarship towards further education or travel.
