FUSION FAQ’s
Where are FUSION jobs located?
The InterTradeIreland FUSION Programme is open to all companies throughout the island of Ireland (who meet FUSION programme criteria) and therefore job opportunities created through the FUSION programme can be anywhere on the Island of Ireland.
How long is the FUSION position/project for?
All FUSION Projects currently run for 12 months unless otherwise stated. To date, 85% of Graduates who successfully complete their FUSION project are offered a position with the Company after the FUSION Project has completed.
Will I be employed directly by the company?
Yes. All successful candidates will be appointed and employed directly by the company under terms and conditions agreed directly between the company and the successful candidate.
Is the position salaried?
Yes. All FUSION positions are salaried. Salary is set directly by the company and is generally commensurate with the nature of the role.
Do I have to have graduated recently?
No, you do not need to have graduated recently. In some cases, you may be required to have relevant previous experience in industry. Please note the essential and desirable criteria in the job spec and provide evidence of how you meet same in your application form.
What if I have participated on a FUSION Project before?
FUSION Graduates who have completed the FUSION Post Graduate Diploma in Management need not apply.
What does the postgraduate Diploma in Management involve?

Can I Apply?
Generally you must have a degree or diploma which matches the criteria of the position being advertised by the company. See each individual job spec for the specific essential criteria to be eligible to apply.
How do I Apply?
After I apply what happens next?
Once you have completed and sent your application form and the closing date for the vacancy expires, the FUSION office will begin the shortlisting process. Please allow up to 3 weeks after the closing date for shortlisting. You will be notified of your application outcome either notifying you that you did not meet the shortlisting requirements or inviting you for interview. We will contact you using your email address supplied on your application form. If you have not heard from us 3 weeks from the application closing date you should contact the FUSION office on +44 (0) 28 3026 0700.
What happens if I can’t send my application through?
CPL collates all of the applications at this stage on behalf of the FUSION programme. For any technical difficulties please contact 028 3025 3450 from Northern Ireland or 01 614 6184 from the Republic of Ireland.
I have submitted my application and haven’t received confirmation of receipt who do I contact?

The closing date has passed and I haven’t heard anything who do I contact?
You will be informed of the outcome of your application. Please allow up to three weeks from the application closing date (for shortlisting and processing purposes). If it is more than three weeks after the application closing date and you haven’t heard anything please contact the FUSION office on 028 3026 0700 from Northern Ireland or 048 3026 0700 from the Republic of Ireland.
